RTC Partners is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Office (CFO) to join the leadership team of its platform company in the program management / construction management sector. The company is well-financed and has a high growth, acquisitive strategy that requires a solid CFO with a combination of industry and transaction experience and a ‘roll up your sleeves’ mentality.
The candidate will be responsible for taking on a leadership role in financial decision-making that affects the company and will provide strategic financial input to senior management. The CFO will ensure transparency of information and performance metrics across the firm, will drive the financial planning process across offices, will oversee management of capital structure, vendor management, will play a lead role in evaluating and integrating potential acquisitions, and will build and oversee a staff of accountants, controllers, and analysts.
As a senior leader within the company, we would expect the CFO to also provide insight and guidance to the Executive Leadership Team regarding growth opportunities, performance, and strategic direction of the company.

Knowledge of the Engineering consulting industry, including an understanding of project-based accounting
Experience forecasting revenue for a project-based firm over 150 employees
Experience conducting a budgeting process for a firm with more than five offices
Experience applying revenue recognition principles to a project-based firm
Experience producing monthly reports for FP&A in a project-based firm and familiarity with basic metrics in a project-based firm (e.g. Utilization, direct labor multiplier, breakeven rate)
Experience managing a/r and a/p, including vendor management and collections strategies
Experience applying principles of transaction accounting, ideally to the acquisition of project-based firms
Additional Salary Information: Candidate will be eligible for a bonus and will have the opportunity but not obligation to co-invest throughout the hold period.
