Trinity School is pleased to announce a national search for a talented and experienced Chief Financial Officer to lead the School’s Business Office, manage school finances, and work collaboratively with Senior Administration, Faculty, Staff, and Board to advance the educational mission of the School.
Trinity School is a college preparatory, coeducational independent day school for Grades K-12, located on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. Founded as a charity school at Trinity Church in 1709 for 40 students, it moved to its current location in 1895 and now has an average enrollment of 1,025. Though no longer sponsored by a specific religious body, Trinity considers itself a school in the Episcopal tradition, and the Trinity community is characterized by religious, racial, and ethnic diversity.
Since its founding, Trinity has continued its commitment to enroll a talented, motivated, and diverse student body from every economic and social background by providing over $10 million in financial aid to students at all grades. The school is organized into a Lower School (K-Grade 4), a Middle School (Grades 5-8) and an Upper School (Grades 9-12). The ratio of students to teachers is 13 to one. Reporting to the Head of School, and serving as a member of the School’s Senior Administrative Group, the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible for managing and overseeing the School’s business office and finances with a high degree of efficiency, effectiveness, integrity, and compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. This position supervises the members of the Business Office: Director of Finance, Accounts Receivable, and Accounts Payable.
